HPV Vaccination and Cancer Awareness Programme for Children Aged 9–15
A cancer awareness and HPV vaccination awareness programme was organised by Priyadarshi Hospital and Pranav Charitable Trust for students aged 9 to 15 years at JSS English Medium School, Metagalli, Mysuru. The programme aimed to educate students about cancer, the benefits of HPV vaccination, and address common doubts and misconceptions surrounding the vaccine.
Highlights of the Awareness Programme:
Students of JSS English Medium School were educated about the impact of current dietary habits, daily routines, and lifestyle practices on their health. They were also informed about possible health concerns arising from unhealthy habits and the preventive measures that can be adopted to maintain better health.
Dr. Aishwarya, Cancer Specialist at Priyadarshi Hospital, explained the benefits of the HPV vaccine and addressed various doubts and concerns regarding the vaccination. The information was presented in a simple and meaningful manner to help the students understand the importance of preventive healthcare and HPV vaccination.
The successful awareness programme was attended by Mr. Niranjan, Marketing Manager of Priyadarshi Hospital; Mr. Palani Swamy; Mr. Sandeep, Manager of Pranav Charitable Trust; Mr. Satish, Principal of JSS English Medium School; and staff members Mr. Rajashekar Murthy, Amruthavani, Deepa, Nirupama, Vinutha, Aarthi, Ranjitha, and Sumangala Jangamashetty.
All girl students from Classes 5 to 10 participated in the programme and benefited from the awareness session.
